Bob, I edit your post above - added missing part of script that show my post as a wrap.
I really don't know if they did something to the car. Apparently car drive terrible and I was not only one who complain. Replay from BMW representative - it's because Audi is 400+ Lb heavier on the nose then BMW. I really don't know if this statement is true or not.

And then I get latest "CAR AND DRIVER" for 535/A6 comparing test - A6 win!
Wasnt that "CAR AND DRIVER" for 535/A6 comparing test on the 2010 535?

Sorry again to bring back a 1 month old posts.

The BMW compared and lost in the most recent Car and Driver comparison is the new 2011 BMW 535i. I attended an ultimate drive session also - while the interior of the new 5 feels more luxurious with better controls and newer electronics, the steering was too light and the car doesn't handle that well (it was without a sport / dynamic handling package).

The car is also 400 lbs heavier than the previous generation, and BMW eliminated the spare tire/jack. The trunk itself by spec remains the same size (if you don't count the space where a spare would have sat).

I wonder if they put in lousy gas in the Audi A6 for comparison. A6 does look and feel very outdated compared to the brand new 5.

I had not seen this post and wouldnt have given this a second thought until now. However I do have to agree I have noticed many BMW drivers eye-balling the Q5. In fact I had this happen at lunch time today...

Of course this thread has gone way off topic but it did make me think...
