Will Q5 in US ever get sport seats etc.?

One of the monkeys at Audi US HQ thought nobody would want sport seats in a Q. Kinda the same thing that nobody wants an A4 Avant. What the..? They're everywhere in LA.
My brother has one with the sports seats, nice seats by the way.... On par with my Recaros on the old VW..

I agree that the sport seats would have been a great option, especially to help justify that S line price-tag. My dealer indicated that the sports seats were not included because they were deemed too difficult to get into due to the higher side bolsters + added Q height.
He couldn't quite explain how everyone outside NA was able to order — and climb into — them. Sheesh. We're not ALL giant hogs.

Well if the were to offer them I would see them charging more for the S-Line Package.
Here in Germany there are two packages:
S-Line Exterior which includes all the outside stuff minus upgraded wheels for 1750 Euro
S-Line Sport Packet which includes the Upgraded wheels, S-Line interior add-ons with the sport Seats in leather with cloth centers for 2410 euro
Add-Ons for that are
3 Spoke Multifunction S-Line Steering Wheel 180 euro
Upgrade to 20's 500 euro
Upgrade to Alcantara centers 510 euro
Upgrade to Milano 1110 euro
Upgrade to Feinnappa 1400 euro
So I would say it would have to do more with cost and demand.
