Default Would you Buy a Q5 Again?

It's down to the Q5, Mercedes ML350 diesel, or a distant third, the Acura RDX. Would you buy a Q5 again. Why, or why not?

Absolutely. Perfect combination of size, sportiness, luxury and mpg's for my needs. Might have considered the new BMW X1 though if it had been available at the time. YMMV!

Yes from me. I plan on driving mine for quite a while (I'm not a change vehicles every other year type of guy, I'm a make it perfect and drive the $hit out of it until the next great leap in technology comes along kind of guy.)

But I foresee only a another Q5 (probably a factory SQ5 at that point) in my distant future.

It really does seem to be the perfect combo of sport & luxury, IMO.

All depends on the situation at the time... if I need to transport a large family, then I will have to give up the Q5

If not, Q5 is at a pretty good sweet spot for many people's (from younger married couples to empty-nesters) needs.

I'd be tempted to go with something a little larger, and a little cheaper. Maybe a Honda Pilot or something. Then I'd have more money to put towards a sports sedan, and wouldn't feel as bad when my wife beats up the Q.

That said, we've been very happy with the Q.

I have already ordered my replacement Q5. From a 2011 2.0T to a 2013 3.0T.

I asked my wife the other day, "if you had to buy another car right now, what would you buy"? Her answer was another Q5. She likes the look, the gas mileage and is very happy overall with it.

Ditto - actually went looking the other day...
the 3.0T sounds like MORE fun

The Q is unique enough that the wife doesn't see 'her' car every other block (but more and more are showing up around here !!!)

Absolutely, no second thoughts! My other car is the BMW 3 series and I was recently at the service center to get it serviced. In the waiting time I went and test drove the X3 with the new 4 cylinder turbo. Not even half the fun as the Q5 and the interior on the X3 was really average.
