I did a minor write-up on the install as well as pics in case anyone was having issues with finding the sensors/grommets.

Short and skinny: JB4 gives you the power while the power delivery is smooth, controlled and refined. Shifts are smooth, with no stumbles/stutters.

So has APR come out with a tune for the B9 3.0t EA838? I can only see APR tune for the 2.0t for B9.

That tune is for the older model. If you look at the APR specs it is for an SQ5 with stock 354 HP and 347 lb-ft of torque, The 2018 SQ5 has the same 354-hp rating as it did with the earlier supercharger model, but the torque figure jumps from 347 lb-ft to 369 lb-ft for the 2018 SQ5.

There are NO ecu tunes at this time for the 3.0 liter B9.

But it also says SQ5 3.0 TFSI. At any rate, I was told by an APR dealer that there is now a tune available, but I have not followed up on it so they may be mistaken. Best to contact APR directly if interested.

Thx for clearing that up. I thought the power figure matched so it got me excited for a min there LOL I personally may consider the $2k option if release depending on the details. I have spend quite a bit in the past spending money buying piggy back system such as DTUK for my last 3 cars and all of them I end up tuning it with a remap at the end. I know everytime, the remap is always better than piggy back without the occasional christmas light on the dash and is less hassle. Obviously warranty comes into play esp for my SQ5 which is just about to click over 1000ks plus remap aint customisable. The fact that this ECU is proving very hard to crack doesn't help either as maybe we wont see anything from APR or others for another year or years so not month. I saw from another audi forum that the previous gen 5 series ECU took 5 years to crack so i sure hope this isnt the case for the B9.

I may have to repeat my past foot steps again
