The car came with a card that has a VIN and then a code to register it.

I was told to ignore registering with MyAudi.com. The recommendation was to download the app and process the registration from there, and then login on the MMI.

I picked up my new ride yesterday completely tricked out as requested less iPhone box. Anyway so much technology even more than the Wife's 2018 SQ5. My issue L (even with dealer's people) we could not get the app to confirm my identity. The dealer made sure all data was entered into their Audi data interface (sorry retired Senior Systems Engineer) was correct and it was/ The only difference in the data I can see is that my birthdate info in the app is trying to verify day/month/year and all the other interfaces are month/day/year and I'm thinking this is the issuer. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Talk to the dealer and verify they did the software update listed in my post #9 of this thread. Even Audi tech support was unaware of it's release. This solved my problem.

Thanks for the response but the first issue to resolve is MyAudi authentication . Also, my SQ5 came with the phone box as a factory delete (chips you know) so does this impact when I have my phone in my pocket?

Le Chef I heard the same since 10/262021, to start with the myAudi phone app, which BTW failed miserably. But on 11/27/2021 the dealership had guidance to not start with the myAudi app, but instead use their web interface to setup the key user and Audi Connect services, which worked. But for me the myAudi app never worked, and my take as a software engineer is it's a buggy, and requiring a personal phone app to setup features on an expensive luxury vehicle, especially as a single point of failure, is a terrible idea. This is especially for a person who considers connecting a phone app to control a vehicle as an unnecessary privacy and security risk.

Default Finally got Key User set

For what its worth: I was finally able to get the Key User registered about a week ago. The car info (range, mileage, etc.) was not showing up in the myAudi app, so we deleted the car from the account (took 3 tries), then re-added the car (took 2 tries) and the car status popped into the app. Then we were finally able to register the key user in the car. Dealer said that Audi had finally resolved the issues.

This is on a 2022 Q3 we picked up in late October, so no firmware updates since then.
