Have you had any further updates? I ordered mine 5 July in Greenwich, CT. The dealer claims that they don't have any insight on delivery dates or where I am in the production queue. Glad I found this forum as now I can push them to get an answer.

Audi Q5e production order makes no sense
We placed our order for a Q5 e Prestige on the 15th of July, 2021. So far we do not have any information from the dealer about projected build slot. It is good to see that some Q5 e's are starting production. It seems like the Audi order system is kind of a black box. Any adivice on how to get more information about production schedules?

I placed my order the first week of July -- the dealer told me today that it is STILL on the "wishlist" and that they don't have an allocation yet. So, even if they get an allocation tomorrow, the earliest the car would arrive is 4 - 6 months, which would March. That sounds insane. Does this make sense to anyone? You would think that a vehicle with a customer attached would get production priority.

Yes, cars that are sold with customer names attached do get priority - when there are allocations.
There have been no allocations. There have not been allocations in months. So any order submitted that was not already allocated, goes to the wait list.
