Can anyone explain the difference between Audi Connect Plus and Audi Connect Prime? Is the only difference the WiFi speed or are there other differences, too? Regarding the WiFi speed, is the difference between the 2 plans noticeable?

These services crash and malfunction so frequently that it’s hardly worth it to use them even if they were free.

Those links should cover it.

You get basic functionality free (for 10 years).
If you want the rest of the features, you have to buy them (as the next level subscription).
The top level includes WiFi.

But I have to ask ... you seem very concerned about WiFi . Do you not have a cell-phone ?

Yes, I have a cell phone, just curious how the 2 plans (Prime and Plus) differ. Seems like the only difference is WiFi speed, which (as you suggested) doesn’t really matter.

Actually, @jim2560 link is pretty good as (now that I examine it closer myself) looks like Audi's offerings have changed in the last year or so.
It used to be like I posted above. Prime didn't include WiFi at all ( I have the old screen-shots). Plus added WiFi HotSpot and "thousands of online radio stations around the globe".
Also, the pricing for both changed slightly.

We had a 6-month Trial of everything, but since we weren't driving much (and didn't plan to buy it) I never really messed with it. The free Connect-Care is good for now. In my A5, I use Apple CarPlay for most of the other stuff.

There are only 3 additions to Prime defined in Plus:

• WiFi hotspot (up to 8 WiFi devices)
• Amazon Music support
• Online Radios

However, with my Prime I can use Amazon Music and 2-3 WiFi devices. Online Radio is not available.
