Default Button on overhead console?

Folks .. this button which has a red light on the overhead console ... has a picture of a door open on it .. looks like it is related to some door light .. tried reading the manual, however I do not see any mention of what this button does. Any ideas? Are these for the courtesy lights inside when the door opens?

Thanks .. apologize if this has been asked before as search did not come up with anything.

Button on right with red light?

It turns on/off the interior lights when you open the soor, for example, you have it on so the interior lights activate when you open the door (I believe it's on per door basis but I don't have my Audi to confirm)

Android is correct, when the button is lit red when you open any door the interior lights will turn of. When the red light is off when you open the door no lights will turn on. If you ask me that’s backwards but I’m sure Audi design team is never wrong

either that or the passenger ejector seat--that would be a useful option sometimes

Note that you can code this with obdeleven to either turn on just the applicable light at the door opened (the default), or all interior lights with opening any door. I have changed this to all lights, as I always found it odd to just have one light turn on when one door is opened. Someone else may find it odd to turn on all of the lights when just entering or exiting the driver's side for example, so one can just leave this alone.

The only one is the OBDEleven Pro. I picked it up from these guys:

It has been amazing to be frank. I have probably tweaked at least 20-30 settings to my preference. The big threads on Audiworld list many of the more popular changes. Good luck.
