Error in Vehicle Communication

2022 Q5 Prestige - for the last 3 days, the MyAudi app has not been able to communicate with my vehicle, to update the usual stuff. I get the following error code: "Error in vehicle communication. Error E. PA.VCF.3 (2207062003)". Anyone know what this means? Is it a hardware problem (in other words, I should take it to the dealer to repair) or is this a software issue with the "world famous MyAudi app"? I have an Android phone, if that helps. TIA for any helpful hints or advice (besides just uninstalling the app and calling it a day).

I agree. My 2019 SQ5 has not work consistently with the My Audi App since day one. It will go along fine for weeks at a time and then stop working for a couple weeks and then back and forth . My wife's 2022 Q5 seems to be very stable with the Audi App, which leads me to believe it's something in the the hardware in the older Q5s.

This is normal for the my Audi app. It doesn’t work.

I was getting that and then it just randomly started working again this afternoon. I already called the dealer to look into the MMI. Still planning to take it in since I believe I have an old MMI software version.

The app and backend is a mess. It has been on and off for the past few weeks for me. Currently, not working again. Will probably magically start working again at some random point...
Seriously, as much as I love the car itself, I will probably be looking at a different brand that can handle this stuff when my lease is up...

honestly the best way to look at it is that Audi has no functional user app. Buy the car based on that assumption and you won’t be disappointed. If you want an app, and that’s important to you, don’t buy an Audi. Edit: read the user reviews in the Apple App Store for this app. Tells you all you need to know.
Fast forward to current, when i got my '21 SQ5 last year, i skipped wasting my time fooling with the app. The most used feature for me on the S4 was sending (at least attempting) to send destinations to the Audi's NAV. My SQ5 doesn't have NAV, I have an AA Wireless unit and Waze opens and Tidal plays in less than 10 seconds after I get into my car. Long ago i uninstalled the stupid Audi app.
