Default Fuel Economy So Far

Anyone else notice very low fuel economy? Had the car for just over a week, driving it easy due to breakin period (also no sport mode), and the mpg is like 10-14. We do plenty of highway driving so curious why it would be so low.

Default Mpg

We put around 400 on our first tank so far (filled it up before it hit empty) which included alot of LA traffic. I think our average was around 24 but I tend to not drive very economical.

This thread should be merged with the one where the dude complains about lag in D and is told to "use S, dummy!" (Grin)

In the new issue of C&D they review the Q5. Their reported mileage was 21 mpg (no driving style or conditions mentioned).

These mph numbers sound a little on the high side, but if you guys relying on the MMI numbers rather than measuring from a full tank, setting the odometer to zero, driving, refilling and dividing gallons into miles driven, you will always be getting an optimistic, not actual reading. On my 2014 2.0 Q5, in mixed driving I was closer t0 21-24 mpg.
