I do agree with TJK. Anything over 40-50k IS pretty remarkable!! But it does happen occasionally :-).

As a "PS" to the long life story -- the A6 that i mentioned is a 2014 - built in 06/2013. It still has the original battery, which makes it almost 10 years old. I couldn't believe that story from the original owner!! I'm sure it is on it's last legs, but I'm sort of waiting to see how long it can last!!

most of my driving is highway, I can assure you I’m still on the factory brakes but my rears are at about 4-5mm so they are getting close but still have some life left.
I’ll definitely be doing them myself when it’s time.
My MKV Jetta with a manual transmission had 155k miles on the front brakes when it was totaled, rears had to be to done every 50k like clockwork. So it’s possible. The SQ5 seems to burn through brakes much faster

For most this is true. My SQ5 has 55k on the original brakes and still plenty more to go. Driving style and conditions (highway, few stops) matter a lot. I limit adaptive cruise's auto breaking and coast when i can, rather than coming to stops full speed and heavily using brakes. It has a positive impact on my blood pressure as well. Getting up to speed is a different story...

My 2018 is at 155k and counting. Mostly highway of course and routine maintenance is performed by me. Plugs and transmission fluid every 40k, brakes went at 105k, shocks will be replaced this weekend, and the oil is changed at 5k intervals. Overall, I could not be happier as this is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.

Shades of my 1986 Porsche 944; so almost forty years later the engine mounts are still a wear part and must be replaced at least a couple of times over the life of the car. Remember the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, but expecting a different result.
