Have had splash guards on every vehicle I have owned for years. Yes they do keep the sides and rear cleaner regardless of what vehicle.

Thanks for the install guides ManlyPowers.
The Audi splash guard guides don't include painting/coating after you cut and drill - you are exposing metal - I doubt that it is aluminum or stainless - seems like that's inviting rust.
Why isn't rust a consideration?
I'm thinking paint or a spray on galvanized coating is in order.
From AK where spring breakup means grit filled muck soup puddles that hide large potholes and abound for a couple of months a year.
P.S. In addition to keeping the rocker panels clean and chip free, the splash guards reduce the amount of spray thrown up on the cars behind you. It's always nice when the windshield of the guy behind is clean enough to see that you've stopped!

Not sure what you are "cutting and drilling". They place 3M tape on the edges, and they get screwed into the wheel wells. There is nothing to paint.
No different than any other vehicle and their application of them.

I never personally installed mine, but they just fit up against the inside of the wheel well with 4 self tapping screws per guard. The "cuts" are through the plastic liner so they can put in those "pal nuts" to hold screws for the middle two screws.

There’s no cutting or drilling into metal, but of trimming some plastic, no big deal.
