Default Oil Change price estimate

Hello All,

Does anyone know if an simple oil change for a 2018 Q5 and a SQ5, the same price?

I am trying to see if the maintenance cost will be higher for an SQ5.

thanks!

Gizmo, would it make sense to check in with your local dealer and ask them for exact numbers?

I believe I paid $163 with all the taxes and fees for my first oil change for the SQ5.

Agreed. Same effort as posting this inquiry.

And then check to see if Audi Care might be worth the money if you intend to get your car services at the dealer (it will be worth it).

This is a cut and paste from an email where I asked about maintenance .. Keep in mind this is a Canadian quote ..

Thanks again for coming in today.

The Audi Care Maintenance package is $1035+tax and it will take you to your 75,000 km mark or 5 years, whichever comes first. It also covers two brake fluid flushes. There isn’t a service package after the 75,000 km interval. Your first service is complimentary regardless.

If you’re paying out of pocket it would look like this:

1st year - 15,000 kms – complimentary

2nd year - 30,000 kms - $703+tax

3rd year - 45,000 kms - $275+tax

4th year - 60,000 kms - $1035+tax

5th year - 75,000 kms - $275+tax

Brake fluid flush recommended every 2 years $170+tax each.

Sounds close to mine. I picked up my 2018 SQ5 past saturday oct 21st. Got the Audi Care for 4 services (1st service free from Audi + 4 services Pack) for $869/- , I was also purchasing the Extended warranty and was asking the finance folks to give me a better deal, they would move a little bit on the Extended warranty but not on the Audi Care (because the price is set by Audi, and they heavily subsidize the price for couple of reasons 1.) keeps getting the customer back into the showroom, higher chance over 2 years for someone to turn in their lease and upgrade to a newer one 2.) Audi keeps a tighter control over their vehicle service / any potential recall issues / better use of their part inventory being depleted through these scheduled service maintenance). The Audi care just seemed a no brainer for me, especially given the Electronics in itself, the general service tech outside would need atleast 1-2 years to get acquainted with the new tech on Audis, I sleep much better knowing my car is in better hands.

They won't be the same price, since they are not the same engine 2.0 4 cyl vs 3.0 6 cyl
FWIW, my local Audi dealer (Seattle) always sends my $69.99 oil change coupons for up to 6 qts of oil on a 4 cyl engine.
