What year car do you have? You'd need a 2019 or newer for you to be able to install the 2021 version - as I found out. For the 2018, the last version I could install was the 2020/2021. Glad the maps are posted. It took me forever to get them (both the 2020/21 and the 2021 versions) from Audi. Wish these posts were around eight months ago when I set about getting them.

I'm glad it's finally shipping. I went through a period of challenges with the newest images breaking my connection,, but as of today,, it's working flawlessly. I don't have a production model yet, but that should improve the wifi. I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes for you.
I was worried for a week or so. Fingers crossed...If it doesn't work or live up to your expectations, my reputation will be compromised 😱

How did you do a factory reset of the nav database? A few weeks ago my map data became corrupted and I ended up going to the dealer to get navigation working again. I am just curious about the factory reset because that might have saved me a trip to the dealer. Under Settings - Factory Settings I see 2 possibilities: reset Navigation settings and reset Navigation and online memory. Do one of those reset the nav database? TIA.

Audi doesn't publish a price for a single map update, but based on my web search, it has been reported that dealets have charged between $600-$800 for single updates. Sounds like you can negotiate, but regardless, it's a one time update and not worth it for me, hence "overpriced".

Reminds me of the good old days where you could just by a DVD from Navteq once a year for $199 and you would get the newest software and the newest maps for the RNS-E...

I have a 2019 SQ5 with a build month of Dec 2018. I was able to install the 2021 v28 maps, but this will be my last free update. The FEC code will show you what your last allowed map update is. Here is how I read the code on my MMI: Bring up your Red Engineering Menu (press Menu to bring up the Menu screen, then hold Nav/Map toggle up a fraction of a second before holding Media toggle down and hold for a few seconds, MMI screen will jump to the Red Menu). Within the Red Menu go to System, Application Keys. Check the last two digits of the FEC code starting with 23. If it’s 26 you can't load map v28 (2021); 28 means this is your last update, and 2A means you have one more to go, etc. Hold up Nav/Map then down Media for a few seconds to exit the Red Menu. Note: for other MMI versions the way to access the Red Menu may be different.

^ @HockeySocky, thanks for that information.
I wonder if there's a way for us to change the last two digits of the FEC code, using the OBDeleven or other such scan tool. The dealer must have a way to do this, when a customer pays them to carry out a nav map update on a system with exhausted free updates.
