Hi all,
I am getting bids for a Q5 lease and besides negotiating on the usual MSRP price, is there anything else the dealer would compensate on tax wise (or anything else) to get their money back?
Right now, tax wise, I am getting:
- First payment of lease (not a tax)
- Sales tax (dependent of state I assume)
- Flat tax (minimal)
- Acquisition fee (what is that?)
- DMV fees (I assume always the same through the state)
- Documentation fee (paperwork fee?)
All this roughly adds up to slightly more than 4k at signing.
Are all these taxes the usual and are there some that are "loose" in terms of cost and not purely derived by % of MSRP value?
Thanks

Hi guys,
Any ideas about this?
I could rephrase: what are the usual taxes for leasing and which ones are prone for negotiation if any.
Perhaps most of the people on this forum buy rather than lease?
Thanks a lot.

Round, without letting people know what country/state/province you are writing from, I think many will be apprehensive about answering.
