Hi Folks,

We own an early 2007 4.2L Q7 and have loved every minute of it's close to 97,000 miles. We recently went on a driving trip and had to have the oil separator valve replaced during the first half of our journey ... the noise the engine makes is indescribable beyond saying it sounds like the engine has run out of oil.

The oil separator valve issue has caused me to wonder what could be next?

Anyone on the list have any experience and/or thoughts as to what normally should be looked at maintenance-wise, etc. on a 100K or so Audi? With the amount of driving we do with our Q7 I would rather err on the side of replacing prior to failure.

Did you have spark plugs replaced at the 55k? If so it is due for spark plug change again soon after another 55k miles on the car.Wouldn't hurt to change air filters with the spark plugs.

You need to catch up! I just turned 133k on my 06/06 built 4.2. I've only replaced one thing and that was a bluetooth module that failed. 3 sets of brakes, 3 sets of tires.. major service every 55k otherwise oil changes.
