I've had the same problem in the past with sh*tty tires. You can balance them all you want, it's not a balance issue. I'm convinced it's the interaction of the tread pattern/alignment with the pavement.
Some pavement types, the steering wheel shimmies so bad it makes my hand tingle. And then some pavement types it's smooth as silk.
Because we're in the pacnw I was planning on ditching the goodyears for all seasons anyway.

Thank you everyone for your input. We dropped off the Q7 this morning and I left the service manager a message stating that they should try swapping the wheels and tires off another Q7 on the lot to see what would happen. I received a phone call @ around 4:00PM and they got the same result, the wobble and vibration was still there. The tech called the Audi tech support line and they told them to check the prop shaft/drive shaft as they have had to replace on several other Q7s no ajustment could fix so they ordered the part and will replace. The service advisor went on to say that they hope that will fix the problem if not they will be stumped, that sure is reassuring. Then what? Does anyone know if a wheel alignment needs to be done when they replace the drive shaft? I'll keep you posted hopefully by Friday. Thanks
