Hi there, has anyone tried to swap out their 09 and older front turn signals for the nicer LED versions? The part ID's are below. Please let me know if it is a plug and play and ballpark cost for both, thanks.
2010 LED Front Turn lens: 4L0953041D, 4L0953042D & 4L0953041e, 4L0953042e
e = s-line models one less LED to fit the bumper. Right and Left model number denotes "1,2" just before the D or E ending.

Yes, I've seen on other fourms that it is possible but there is an issue with the sporadic flash of the front led turn lights. The Cent. Electric 07-09 Q7s sends a low voltage test "Bulb Cold Testing". This causes the LED turn signals to flash at low voltage every 15-30 seconds or so unless you change the code or change out one of the control units. I can PM you the link. Not sure if I can post other fourms links here.

I have said nothing wrong...no advertisements! Don't worry, I am not trying to take any sales from your good friend, Alex. Thanks though Jusforfun! I was just stating that it is possible.
Also, if you would like to warn me about something in the future...please feel free to PM me.

Thanks edgeq7 for the information here, I really apreciate it. I think at this point it will require some "fabing" and perhaps some coding unless I missed something on your link?
Just thinking my Q7 needs at least front bumper turn signals in an LED to give it a current look. I am okay with the "earlier" tails look at least till replacement is nec.
Not sure if you are planning to mod this if so PM me or post here, thanks.

Josgarc, Yes going to do led turn signal mod. Still trying to see if it is possible to turn off the turn signal lamp test via coding vs. buying a new control unit. Will let you know what I find out....
