Worked away from home yesterday. Left at 6am, back at 10pm.
Wife: I have a confession to make
Me: What did you do to the car? [NB: The 'confession to make' is an indication of wife's unfortunate damage to car!]
She had somehow done something funny with the garage door opener whilst the trunk was open. Net result is two 3cm scratches down the trunk lid.
She also dinged one of the wheels on a curb 3 days after taking delivery. Sigh
I live in northern Mass. Can anybody recommend a good place to do paint repair and fix the alloy wheel? I'm hoping somebody can suggest somebody that can make it look (as close as possible) to 'new' condition?
Thanks in advance

Can't help with recommendations in Mass but in terms of preventing recurrences of the garage-door issue you may want to reset the hatch opening height. Just in case your dealer didn't go through that on delivery, you manually move the hatch to the position you want and then press and hold the hatch close button for a few seconds to reset.

Thanks
I had thought of the same last night. It generally was a pretty good height so possibly she has moved it at some point ![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Do you know if there is reset button for wives? (I'm joking, I'm joking...)

I don't get it... I really don't. I mean, my wife is the same. Her car is covered in scratches, dings, dents and cracks in the plastics. She regularly scrapes the wing mirrors along the (white) garage walls despite the fact it's a three car garage and we currently have only two cars.
*shakes head*
Anyway wheel repairs for wife-induced curb rash on your alloys is painless, fairly inexpensive and works. I repaired wheels on my old allroad several times and they came back like new wheels each time. The cost for all 4 wheels was about 200 Euros (ok I know this is a US forum...).

as for a paint job I would go to AUCLAIR's auto body:
444 Riverside Dr
Lawrence, MA 01841
They are an autobody shop that restores vintage automobieles besides doing autobody repair. I had them paint some headlight covers for me.
hope this helps, I to am in northern Mass.
