Got it working...so apparently there was no fuse for the hitch, but once inserted and plugged in the lights on trailer worked fine... didn't need recoding or anything of the sort, which was great and now i can bring my seadoo to the cottage... thanks for the help with the parts!

Thanks Grey! Now, to find a module for my 2009 with harness and not break my bank.

Do the factory modules on ebay work? I ask because I've tried to track this down through the parts side on Audi and have struck out. Maybe my part location isn't on par at the moment.

Thank you!

I don't see why the modules on ebay would not work.

You can also find a used one in your area using Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market look for a vehicle with the hitch and you will likely find the module and harness.

I ended up making my own harness by buying the connectors from ECS tuning.

Trying to fix a few issues with my setup that were not coded correctly, seems VCDS does not know how to code my backup camera for a trailer.. long code helper just says they dont know anything about my modules.

Anyone with a MY2013+ with factory tow bar and VCDS care to share your factory codings? (6C Backup Camera), I have both front and rear cameras and that probably makes a difference.

I hope those settings worked. That was from my post on Ross Tech after I couldn't get all the settings after my hitch install. It was for a 2013 TDI Prestige.. not sure if that mattered or not.

Did you put in a brake controller anywhere? I'm reading people have a separate brake controller in addition to the electronic trailer module. I guess I'm just confused as to which is for what?

Yeah I installed a RedArc Tow Pro Elite, You need a brake controller if your trailer has electric/hydraulic brakes..

Where do you put the brake controller? If i do install the brake controller, do I need to reprogram with the VCDS again? I'm thinking of bringing it into the dealer to have them do the reprogramming since my ACC on my 2014 Prestige doesn't work anymore. I just dont' want to have to bring it to the dealer again (and pay again) if I decide to install the brake controller.

Can you send some pictures of how and where you put the brake controller?
