We picked up our 2013 Q7 (S line 3.0T, No TDI) on Apr 30, 2013 from the dealership. We drove from San Jose, CA to South Lake Tahoe, CA on Friday May 17 evening. Beautiful drive, superior handling and we enjoyed the feel of the Quattro. In the following morning (Sat May 18) when I started the engine, the MIL stayed on at 847 miles, but I was able to drive the car. Audi Roadside assistance said they could tow the car to the closest Audi dealer in Reno, NV, but the dealership was closed on weekends. So we checked out from the hotel on Saturday May 18 (instead of Sun May 19) and safely drove back home to San Jose, CA (with MIL on). On Sun May 19 morning, MIL disappeared when I started the engine. Monday May 20, dealer diagnosed the problem and said it was one of the Manifold Air Intake Valve that caused the problem, and ordered that valve and the sensor and still awaiting for parts arrival from Germany (still driving around as it is safe to drive per dealer)
Then the MIL came on again on Sat May 25 at 1145 miles while driving, and still remaining on (notified the dealer, and I was told it is safe to drive until the parts arrive). Then I bought the Actron Scan Tool, and the diagnostics indicates the same issue as below.
DTCs (Codes)
P2007 MOD $00
Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck
Closed Bank 2
No luck finding any other Q7 had the similar issue but found few other older Audi & VW models.
It's a little disappointing to drive around with MIL on a brand new vehicle. Any inputs are appreciated.

My 2008 mercedes C280 has the same issue with the intake manifold valve and the MIL is on 24/7. I still didnt replace the part and the warning came on 3 years ago. the dealer said it is completely safe to drive with it on however due to the valve sticking i would just have a delay in power delivery. I know its not the same car but just wanted to let you know about my experience
