This is just for informational purposes. My steering did not feel smooth, so I checked the reservoir and saw some small air bubbles indicating that it was a little low, however it was on the dipstick. Are used a syringe to suck all the fluid out of the reservoir and refilled it with approximately 1/3 L. I then drove around a bit and repeated the procedure. Steering feels much smoother now. My car has 26,000 miles, and the fluid was still green in color. This of course does not get out all the fluid but if I replace the fluid in the reservoir often when I’m doing other services to the car I believe it will last a long time and it’s very cheap to do. I used Audi power steering fluid.
