Hi All,
I have just replaced my tyres - these were Hancock 22" fitted new when the car was delivered in 2007 - with 285/35R22 106W XL TL KUMHO KL17 and what a difference in drive and handling!
I have just been out for a 'spirited' drive on roads which in the past I was unable to push too much because I could feel the grip of the Hancocks were not there however the Kumho just sticks with ease at increased speed whereas the Hancocks normally gave up 15mph earlier.
Very impressed with these tyres on the Q7 - the XL (extra load) tyre makes a huge difference in the way the car corners.
Now if these last 25k miles as the Hancocks (rotated every 5k miles) then I would be very happy. The Hancocks lasted over 2 years - at my current mileage, now down to 8k p/a, then these Kumho should be good for another couple of years...I suspect the car would have been traded-in for a newer model by then.
Anyway, thought I should share the new Kumho tyre experience with you all.
