3.0T: A quick primer on Superchargers...
I wanted to know more nitty gritty about Superchargers and found that there is a LOT that I don't know about them.
For instance: "...the term "turbocharger" is a shortened version of "turbo-supercharger," its official name." This made the 3.0"T" make more sense.

I think in the case of Audi the "T" refers mostly to turbocharged and not supercharged. The difference is that turbos generally run off the exhaust whereas superchargers run off the crankshaft. Turbocharged engines are very common these days, but Supercharged engines aren't so much. At least that is my understanding.

So which Audi models are actually supercharged? When i've looked around at Audi specs I've seen lots of turbos but I can't recall seeing supercharged engines in the specs. I agree it's confusing these days with all the different badging used to identify these cars.

Yep. Confusing and lame. I hope they keep the 3.0T off the body work... its not something that I would want to advertise. I think the germans still think the US is stuck in the 80's and they think we think that "turbo" on any product will make us want it more.

Too late! I read the 333 S-Line will have "Supercharged" on the front fenders.
