Have you seen any MPG increase?

Thanks,

As I had the device attached when almost new and as my driving is minimal in this car (less than 4000 miles/year) then no.

Eric have you purchase the TDI Tuning box? I too are very interested in purchasing it but would like more feed back on other experiences before buying one. They sell similar ones on Ebay for a lot less but don't know if they are as good as TDI Tuning. I also don't want to void my factory warrantee. Thanks

Hi Mikey, sorry for the delayed response.

I have been engaged in the business because the peak season comes.

During my leisure time, I investigated and studies chiptuning or tuning box... something like that. I have the strong desire/impulsion to gain one and currently I have two options: one is called RACECHIP made in Germany and another TUNINGBOX made in UK.

I just want to run TDI more smoothly, especially from 0-30kmp/h. I feel bad in traffic jam because of "abruptness" which is the only reason I want to apply for a tuning box.

I dont want more torch but a little more horsepower is welcome. 550nm is enough but 245hp is kind of too moderate. 280-330hp may be better.

My concerns:
1. the possible engine damage?
2. the warranty
3. the longevity

I tried to contact those two brands but get no reply so far. Perhaps they don't believe a person from Shanghai could afford. I have some friends and busines-related people who are running diesel engine cars. I am willing to be the first one to try and recommend to them if it turns out to be good. But the supplier just might not be interested in providing to China.

I will keep updating...

I'm also looking at those boxes. The ones on eBay are like $20-$60 and claiming 2-6 mpg plus and 15-40% more HP. I'm not looking for anything drastic just a little better if I can get it BUT I don't want to void the factory warranty. My Q is gas not diesel.
Anyone have any more links for research?
