Adapting Yakima components to OEM rack? Anyone try it?

I believe you can use the Thule xadapt2 adapters...
that will allow the standard clamping system to be used with the channel system used by the EU-spec and OEM racks. I have one that I use with my older 589 fork mount Velo vise bike carrier
