Default Adaptive Lights Defective error

Hi Guys, I am getting Adaptive Lights Defective error intermittently while driving but my adaptive lights are working. Checked the manual, it says show to dealer.

Any idea as to the cause and remedy. Plan to take it to the dealer for diagonsis and repairs.

if you have vagcom/vcds go to lighting and reset each headlight. if it does not clear you may have a defective headlight.

in case you're not familiar with the adaptation:

clear all the codes first... do not change anything or adjust headlights. simply enter into the module and then save it. do it for both sides. then unplug vagcom and key and then give it a go after.

Hi Iconoclast,

There was infact a problem with the passenger side headlamp. Took the car to the dealer and since the car was still under warranty the dealer replaced the passenger side head lamp assembly free of cost and I walked out as a happy satisfied customer.
