added bluetooth aux adapter to cd changer
I purchased a chinese aux adapter unit with bluetooth and sometimes when i turn car on mmi will not detect it and i have to either reboot the mmi or unplug wire and plug back? Any info or recommendation? Power is tapped to the cd changer red wire, and brown ground. I did have to up the 5amp fuse to 10amps because it kept blowing the fuse, should i update to 15? what can be the problem? it works perfect just sometimes does not get recognized in mmi and have to reboot or unplug. really would not have to this ever. This is the unit https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F112554309908

make sure you connected the fiber correctly and the connectors arent loose.
do not up a 5amp fuse to 15amps. never ever do that unless u like fires under your dash.
Beyond having the fiber connections properly snug the issue is most likely with the device you added.
You are not saying the MMI is having issues starting up so that does say the Fiber is properly connected, if it wasnt then the MMI would not be able to initialize since the fiber is a closed loop system, interrupt any part of it and bye bye MMI till the area is restored. So based on that logic the fault is with the device you added, the car is not expecting to see this device so there is nothing in the car to adjust for it.

I wont speak to the fuse safety (as I have no idea and am not an electrical engineer), but the aftermarket Bluetooth connections not being recognized on mine always happens when I don't have Bluetooth turned on on my phone when opening the door (starts to power up that system for whichever reason). Sometimes I can turn the Bluetooth on after starting the car and it will connect or sometimes not, but I've never had that problem when ensuring Bluetooth is on when entering my Q. For anyone else, there is a bluetooth adaptor on Amazon for $70 bucks that does the same thing with no wiring needed. Hope this helps

Any way to wire IPOD input through CD changer wire? Seems like it would be easier than splicing into
