Any harm to using RAIN-X washer fluid?

Since it puts a layer of Rain-x on the window, wouldn't it interfere with the rain-sensor? Whenever it rains here, we rely on the sensor mode entirely. If that won't work, then why bother.

I'd like to hear more info on this. Also not sure how you could use it on your windshield but not your headlights--my headlight washers come on automatically the first time I clean my windshield when the headlights are on.

I was told by a windshield repair guy that a rock chip on a windshiled treated with RainX will have a tendency to split faster if not repaired quickly. He also strongly recommended NOT applying RainX to an existing area with a rock chip that has not been repaired yet.
