Last night I got locked out of my Q when I placed my bag on the back seat, shut the door and went to get into the front seat the whole car locked and could not get in. I have done this dozens of times now. My S5 would never let you lock the key in it. Why did this happen. The only thing different was my wife was standing by the passenger door and may have been holding the handle.
Needless to say it was awkward and luckily my father was in town and could drive the other key. Now I feel like can never trust the key again.
Thoughts?

While I've had the other key on me. I don't think that this should be possible. Luckily, I always have the key in my pocket so we were able to get back in the car.

I am going to talk to Audi. Thats not how it should work. My S5 had the advanced key. If you had the key in your bag and tried to close the trunk it would not let you. I was never able to lock the key in the car. Lesson learned here I can't trust the system too much. Too bad.
