Default Anyone here running 2 baby seats in their Q? How have you configured it?

I have 5-month-old twins, and am trying to decide on a vehicle (besides a minivan) the Q7 and M-B GL450 are my top choices.....just want to see if poeple have had luck with two little ones in the Q.

Default my aunt has twins in the Q7

not sure how she has it configured. she has the ones that bolt to the seat. i believe she has one in the third row and one in the second row so two people can still sit in the second row.

she cross shopped the R500 which didn't work with the seats, and the GL450 was tricky with the seats if i remember correctly, that or she just didn't like it.

Default Have you looked at one of these , if you need " babies " space/SUV ?

Have you considered an GMC Acadia SLT2 /AWD ? With the second row captain's seats , you don't have to disturb the twin's seats once you get them set up just right and sinched down and can walk right into the third row, which is large enough for three medium sized adults to sit side by side ,or mom sitting behind them on long trips for monitoring, wiping drool , etc!. You will need tons of space for strollers and stuff soon , the Q7 holds less than many sedans in the space behind second row Plus , with the Acadia brick interior, you feel like you're in an A6 or A8 which has the cool looking Amaretto/Black interior :

Default If you want to stay Euro, I'd try an R-class over the GL450...

But as Inclined points out, the Acadia does have a lot going for it if you're anti-minivan.

Default 2 kids one on each side of the middle row......

I am thinking of moveing one to the middle to make the 3rd row more accessible, but then the middle seat would not be using LATCH.

AHH nothing like the look and feel of GM plastic - I love the injection molded plastic dashboards.

Default We have full car seat for 2.5 y/o and booster seat for 5.5 y/o in middle row.

Plenty of room. Came from a minivan and don't miss the extra space like I thought I would.
