OK, figured out one of the problems, I had run out of data for my US Mobile account. Must have had the Google maps on too long and it consumed my 100MB. When the monthly subscription flipped to the next month was able to connect. Still have some issues, though, with the routing and ETA calculations. Not sure what the deal is, perhaps I'll have it updated to the latest maps and software at my 35K service (coming up in a few months).
