Do you have armrest open? Or you just plug it in, place MP3 player inside, put it in random mode and listen to whatever is playing?

I'd get an iPod if I were you. Anything else is just a worthless struggle. I'm sure Creative Zen are OK but you'll have no control over it via MMI, whereas the iPod integration is a work of art... Apple would be proud !

Sure an Ipod would be great but why would I pay a buck per song when I can have as many song as my Mp3 can contain for $15- per month. Itunes is a total ripoff compared to Rhapsody.

If you BUY music via iTunes it's in M4V or some other proprietary Apple format and there's all sorts of clever DRM applied. However the iPod itself plays MP3 files with abandon. You can therefore buy MP3s or rip them off your own CDs (though you can use iTunes for that), or buy them from anywhere that sells an MP3 file legally. you drag and drop the file into iTunes and it appears there. Then the iPod gets it when it syncs and that's it really.
So the only issue is with music bought thru iTunes. I have some, I have some I got from some source in Russia (www.alltunes.com) for around 2 cents a track and I have all my own CDs ripped using iTunes into MP3.
The iPod is a good device. It's probably not top for audiophiles, but it's got the best design of anything going and best of all it's a world standard.
I'll leave you with this I found on the web (and yes i have Apple Computers too)...
"I feel a kinship with Audi because it is the Apple of car manufacturers: great products, small market share, and a history marred by irrational scares ("unintended acceleration" and "Apple's going to die"). Buying some German cars shows how much you make. Buying some computers shows...well, let's not go there. Buying an Audi or a Macintosh shows how much you know."

Audi deleted "traffic channel message (TMC)" from the US audi site as soon as I started asking about TMC for my Q7 as the website stated.
