I have just purchased a pair of Audi OEM Accessory Chrome tailpipes
(Part No -; 4L0071059A) in readiness for my Q7 3.0 Diesel's iminent arrival in 4 days time.
Looking at these items, which by the way are very Big!! (probably the reason why they are so expensive) I am unsure as to whether they will look OK once fitted. I have reservations because I anticipated these tailpipes to be the same style as the 4.2 Diesel/petrol versions which they are not. They are officially described as "Off road exhaust tips" which are of a round styled design with a flat bottom, which I have noticed are standard fit on the UK 3.0 Diesel SE special edition that was introduced in the second half of 2007.
Has anyone got any images of a S-Line Q7 with the OEM accessory chrome exhaust tips fitted to which I am referring?
justforfun may be you can help me out on this one??

How much were they and where did you get them? Also do they slot over or replace the existing tips which dont stick out far enough so that diesel dust gets on the bumper?

Justforfun -; the exhaust tips that I have purchased as a Audi Accessory are the same as per your "Search Result" link below
I was hoping they would have been the same as the tips as shown in your photo image of the 4.2 TDi

http://www.fischermotorsport.de/AUDI/Q7/Q7-Endrohrblenden-6.16540.html</a

were not crome. I do not have pics but they look great, they are flat on the bottom , and they can be adjusted depending if you like them close to the bumper or lower.

Correct! they can be adjusted. The instructions point towards a tolerance of 17mm from the bumper exhaust apperture. They are also made from stainless steel.
Still I would like to see a piccy of them on a S-Line Q7, as I have only seen them fitted to the UK special diesel SE edition model or as part of a off road body kit package which has a different style rear bumper (as per the image in justforfun's post.
