I have an Audi Q7 and when I put the car in Reverse the backup camera comes up and the Parking Sensor button starts flashing really fast. After 3 seconds the camera disappear. I noticed that on the screen it comes up the parking sensor Icon right next to a mute button as if the volume wasn’t working. Any help with this?
Check the rear right corner of the Q7 in the trunk area where the camera module is, one of the sunroof drains being clogged can cause water to go down in that area.
It's behind the cover with the air suspension button, or no button if you don't have air suspension.
When I got my 2nd q7 it was wet and fried and I replaced with a used one on ebay, Cleared the sunroof drains (front and rear sunroofs) and set a fan up to blow in the hole in my garage for a day or two. Works fine now,and I'm not getting any water in there or in the spare wheel well like I was before.
I'm looking at purchasing a Q7 (previously had a Q5). Took one out for a spin today, and noticed the rear camera didn't workw backing up (at all). Sales said he just had to reset it, had something to do with low battery.
Not being new to Audi, this seemed a bit odd. Is there in fact a "reset"?
no, he's blowing smoke up your rump.. if engine is running you cant blame anything on a low battery.. all the dying battery gremlins go away when the engine is on unless the alternator is also dying.
to OP, sounds like one of your parking sensors has faulted.. sounds like a safety feature, if your sensor has faulted its going to shut off the camera so you look over your shoulder and dont trust a faulty sensor... get it scanned by a Audi specific diagnostic tool such as VCDS/OBDEleven.

Sorry for the very delayed response, but thank you.
Both the backup camera and sensors were not working; they were able to do a "reset", and (touch wood), everything is working correctly. I tore up the back inside panels, but there was absolutely no evidence of water damage from the aft skylight. Honestly, they've kept it in immaculate condition...I'll knock on wood now.
