I have seen this before on a headlight I had for spare, polishing took out the biggest crazing but didn't remove everything. Stick to having it replace on warranty.

if it is inside the housing, how does one polish it?

I know, the crazing was clearly inside, I guess the heat from polishing had something to do clearing up the lens.

Default Q7 Headlight Stress cracks stress me out!

Thanks.

My 2013 (Prestige S Line TDI) is doing the same thing, on both sides. It looks even worse than yours. I took to the dealer to see if I could get covered under warranty. At first the lady said it was moisture and I had to make her look harder to realize it is not moisture but more like hairline cracks on the entire interior of the lens. They had no idea so had a third party look at it and they told AUDI they determined it was from polishing and the heat of it being polished caused those stress cracks. I did not fully agree with this assessment. (I am the second owner and do not know if they were polished)
Have been considering going to AoA. Have you had any luck? I have seen others with this issue so I am thinking I will push it. I am legitimately concerned about safety as well. And the lights is one of my favorite features of my car!
My lights look really foggy and considering the MSRP of $1500 for OEM lights new I am frustrated.

if you wind up buying new headlights considering going with Euro Spec (E-Code) headlights.

Thank you for the tip! Looks wise it seems the lifts you recommend is the same but there are slight differences in functionality (beam)?

+1 for filling it with water. If they want to play the game, play it. It's like some of these dealers / brand reps are like insurance companies, they have to say no the first 3 times hoping you'll go away.
