Use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Cap Cost - Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Good grief, they're giving away the 3.6's at 0.00006 MF rates (0.14% interest!)

I wouldn't worry. They have also lowered the residual over the past several months. I purchased my q in november and picked it up last thursday. It turned out that the current program is not as attractive of the one in november (at least for a 42 month lease on a 3.6 premium) -- the lower financing rate fails to offset the lower residual.

Default Yes - but residuals are low

Yes - but residuals are low - need to look at both money factor and residual to evaluate - think the lease deal is average at best, and not as attractive as what's currently offered on the BMW X5
