I make a complaint to Audi, and share it with other users, because my car is a Q7
This cruise control feature in the Q7 is worse than any other cheaper car. This car is very heavy, and keeping the gearbox in D8, is a complete disaster. A slope as low as of 3%, is sufficient for the cruise control malfunction.
If it used the automatic gearbox, as I am suggest to Audi, the problem would disappear.
Make a test, move manually the gearbox, and you will see the improvement.

excuses to malfunction:

…it was first fitted in the middle of the last century
the user manual
the options,
the downhills,
the others models,
only controls the engine throttle/fuelling,
the competitors,
the weightof the car,
and flying birds.

And I think they forget tow more very important: downwind and passengers on board.

The video is inconclusive, shows gears in the DIS like it is in manual mode?
Mine has never done this; what are you looking for here? Please clearly state your intentions
What does this have to do with consumption?
I fear we here will be unable to help. the language barrier may be an issue because half of what you write is confusing.
My cruise works perfectly so I am unfortunately unable to help...
do you have a full description of the maintenance from the dealer?

Sorry. I can not expressing adequately in your language. Alternatively, if you want, we tried in Spanish.

In the video it is clear that the car is in D8. That is an indication that the gearbox is in automatic mode.
If you ask me about consumption, you have not understood anything.
