Default Battery Dead again...

The Q7 is starting to act like my Touareg in this regard. Went out today and for no apparent reason the battery was completely dead. I have been using a trickle charger 1x mth to keep the battery topped off(just did this last week in fact). Car ran fine yesterday and I have been keeping the keys away from the car(on advice from the dealer). Guess I will be getting it checked out again. Anyone else with battery issues?

Default What settings have you got for courtesy lights

I shortened down my delay after leaving car.
I have noticed when battery low they dont come on at all.
Do you make a lot of v short journeys?
Do you run CDs, seat heaters, etc all teh time?
Is it V cold where you are?
Aside from these fairly standard issues most of which the car can cope with, it does sound like you need a replacement battery. If yours was killed early in life and rapidly recharged or something is drawing more than usual and regularly draining battery it may have lost storage capacity.
Whatever the cause (maybe you just got a poor one to start with) you probably need a new battery anyway by now.

Nothing special as far as settings. It has been colder in Atlanta lately, but nothing extraordinary. The car is garaged at night as well. I too think the battery is just a bad one as with my monthly trickle charges, it should be in good shape. I will take it in next week when I get a chance and have the battery tested. The first time it died I took it in and the battery tested within limits.

Default New MMI SW is supposed to fix this -->

I got an energy management fault, no start condition after the car sat in the garage over night. Dealer says new SW arriving from Audi in a few weeks to address this issue. Surprised me that it's a MMI update but there is a known issue with the radio not turning off correctly and drawing down power until teh EM module cuts it off.

Default Split Tonneau Cover - where did you find one?

Please let me know, the solid piece tonneau cover drives me crazy, its heavy and you can't carry it with three rows up

Thanks

It's for the TT. I think you might be talking about something for the Q7?

The one on the TT is zippered down the middle so you can drive with the passenger seat covered. I use it in the summer so I can keep the boot cover in place since I park in a secured lot at work (and it doesn't rain here for most of the summer).
