Best mobile phone for integration with Audi MMI Bluetooth?
I have tried getting my Nokia 6234 to fully integrate to the Audi MMI with little success. I can make and receive calls but I have no access to the phonebook, text messages, etc.
Has anyone got the 6234 to work with the MMI?
Any suggestions on a phone that would provide all the functionality you read about in the Audi manual, i.e. directory, phone book, text messages, etc. ?

Factory Audi MMI Bluetooth does not support txt messages
I use a Nokia 8801 and AT&T 8525 with Windows Mobile 6 and they fully integrate with MMI (phonebook, missed calls, received calls, transfer)

I have been thru similar exerience.
I used to have a Siemens mobile with bluetooth. It worked perfectly. Unfortunately I broke it and I had to switch to a Nokia N65 which uses a new version of the Symbian operating system (and it does not implement properly the SAP). Bottom line: I ended up with no more access to the cal log and the phone list.
Please note that also the Nokia 6120 feature the same issue; while the Nokia 6300 work perfectly.
Conclusion. please do test the phone before purchasing ...and in any case stay away from the latest Nokia implementation of the Symbian operating system.
There are hundreds of unhappy Audi owners complaining to Nokia for their ppor implementation of bluetooth.

My AT&T Palm Treo 750 did not work well with my Audi bluetooth UNTIL I upgraded the phone's operating system to Windows Mobile 6.0 (a free upgrade at the AT&T Wireless website). Now it works great!
