The Contis are beating it and they are quieter but they dont look as good and dont feel as tight in the bends.

I chose to go with Michelin Latitude HP tires at ~31K

The ride seems real nice with solid cornering and we have been giving them one heckuva test since we live near the base of the Kingsbury Grade in NV leading up to Lake Tahoe! 4600 to 7000 ft would have certainly brought out anything not to like about the tires :-)

I wanted an all-season tire, and the Spec-X fit the bill. It is also alot quieter on the road than the F1. I'm sure I lost some cornering ability, but I haven't really noticed it.

and how do they look now?
I am also on the Eagle F1s and they sure are a noisy tire. In recent extreme rain I noticed they like to aquaplane too.
