The way to get rid of it (and this comes from the German service advisor here at Audi) is to slam on the brakes a bit at full power and that will take care of it!

MIne do, just a light rust haze if I dont drive it immediatly.
I wonder if leaving it wet just long enough to develop this haze and then driving it will bust the glaze for you Mine dont squeal but they do rust.

from riding the brakes for long periods of time. I am not suggesting these hard stops need to be done back to back, you could space them out.

brakes. When the front brakes need replaced I was told a warning light would come on...for the rear brakes, you will only know if the brakes squeak as you left off the brakes - my service rep it is part of the design to let you know its replacement time. Take it for what's it worth
I had replace my rear brakes at 22K.

Ours did the same thing going from a full stop and when you start accelerating it squeaked they had to replace all four discs and pads problem solved for now.
