Britax Regent - Any issues with fitting this booster in 2nd row?
Guys,
It's time to move our 2nd child into our first child's convertible carseat so I'm leaning towards going with the Britax Regent. For those that have one did you have any issues with fitment in the second row?
I know I can take the headrests out (whoever posted this, thank you) but would prefer to avoid that if possible.
Thanks,
Kevin

It fits - barely
We use a Britax Regent in the 2nd row driver's side for a 4-year old and a Britax Marathon in the 2nd row passenger's side for a 2-year old, both forward facing.
There is just enough room to close both 2nd row doors with child seats installed and fold down the middle section of the 2nd row to allow the occasional 3rd and 4th toddler passengers to climb into booster seats in the 3rd row. The middle section of the 2nd row brushes against both child seats as it folds down, and the Regent almost touches the 2nd row driver's side door. There is plenty of clearance between the Marathon and the 2nd row passenger's side door. We have taught the 4-year old to keep her hands in her lap as we close her door, otherwise she might pinch her fingers between the Regent and the armrest.
We have not removed any headrests to accomodate the child seats in the 2nd row or the boosters in the 3rd row. The child seats do press against the headrests more forcefully than they do against the seatbacks, but LATCH allows a tight fit.
In hindsight, we should have purchased two Marathons instead of a Marathon and a Regent. The Regent is much wider than our 4-year old requires - she could easily fit into a Marathon.

Might take a look at the sunshine kids radian 80 too.
Fits within the headrests and it's not as bulky as the britaxes.
Hey, have you guys noticed that the directions for these 5pt boosters say to use the car belt once the kid hits 40lbs?

Re: I have a 7 seater - if you have a center console in the 2nd row = it's a 6 seater
Those with seven seats have a row of seats in the second row that will seat three people. The 18" center section flips down, via a button on the top of the seat, for access to the third row or for carrying long items in the trunk.

Re: It fits - barely
I have tried to put our Marathon in the second row of my Q7 twice and it does not fit at the correct angle due to the headrest. I'm not sure how you got it in. Could you post some photos. Thanks.
