Can a B7 A4 S-Line steering wheel replace the OEM Q7's 4-spoke steering wheel?

Prefer the look of the 3-spoke steering wheel (or flat bottomed one), but wasn't planning to order the S-line Prestige Q7 model.

I changed my 4 spoke steering wheel to a 3 spoke w/ paddle shifters so it should fit. Some people are going to the A5 3 spoke wheel because it is thicker than the A4.

Otherwise, is a special VAG code change needed after a steering wheel swap, or to make the shift paddles work?

Yes they do work, all you have to do after the swap is Vag code the Q7 so it knows that there are paddle shifters in the steering wheel.
Here is the thread showing what you need and the VAG code:

i was going to swap a 3 spoke into my s line, but was told that my 4 spoke had to stay cause i have the lane assist, where the wheel vibrates. I was wondering why i have seen some s lines with the 3 spoke and some with the 4 spoke.

want to resurrect this post....would like to know now after a few years of folks getting more familiar with the Q7 if a lane assist steering wheel can be swapped out with an A5 Sline steering wheel?
