things i've done
i used to drive my 70 charger around boston.. it had no real security to speak of, so in addition to a hidden momentary kill switch required to make ignition contact i would take the steering wheel and coil-to-distributor wire with me, and just left the windows rolled down.. there was enough wtf? to the situation to make any thief think twice about even trying.. i was more worried about vandalism or other damage, honestly..
yeah, you should be able to secure the Q7 well enough to deter anyone thinking they could get a quick score.. like another poster said, you don't have to completely theft-proof it, just make it less desirable than another Q7.. maybe take a hammer to all the body panels and make it not worth stealing?
