Default Check your door hinges....

If you look at the picture its already rusting, others have started chaffing on the paint but don't look to have rusted yet.

Anyone else with this issue?

I have trace amounts of rust on some of those joints, but the area you are looking at is the spring which holds the door open. It isn't on the hinge itself. After seeing yours it reminded me to hit all of them with white lithium grease!

Trying to get it done under warranty, but they claim its wear and tear. Bought some white lithum grease and sprayed some on all my cars

Interesting. Mine has a creak at the drivers door as well. I figured it just needed some grease but I guess I will ask about it when I take it in for the A/C repair next week.... $50 per CPO visit will make it a better deal for two issues.

Mine is an $85 CPO visit .. how can that be??? anyway, you can grease it yourself and if it the creaking noise comes back .. its the hinge .. btw, makes sure they send it to the body shop or it is done correctly .. fully inspect their work by checking the gaps within the door and it is flush .. Make sure it doesn't rub .. how do I know because my audi dealer f'ed it up my door .. back in the shop getting it repaired .. Does your A/C fan makes too much noise ?? I had that issue last year ..

I was wrong about the deductible. It is $85 as you said. They tell me they were able to take care of the creaking with lubrication. They said the lower hinge is very hard to DIY. We will see how it works when I get it back. The A/C was supposedly a bad sensor. It was repaired under the CPO. I also got another service for free(the 45K) which I thought was not going to happen. We bought Audicare when we leased, but I understood it only went 4yr/50K? The car only has 31K on the clock, but it had been 10mths since the 35K service(it was done around 27K) so they did the oil change today. 4yrs ended at the end of March.

Just got mine back from the shop. The lubrication they did has eliminated the creaking so no replacement needed.
