Default cleaning MMI console

Hi, I just bought a 2011 q7. It seems the previous owner spilled something on the MMI console (just the right side, next to cup holder). The buttons are sticky, and do not work properly. Does anyone have any idea how to clean this?
TIA,
Amnon

I use electronics cleaner. It comes in an aerosol, remains in liquid state long enough to dissolve the goo and free up sticky buttons but then evaporates quickly and is safe on electronics. Only issue is that it sometimes takes a few tries to dissipate the sticky residue sufficiently to free up the buttons.

I did it myself in an hour. Look for instructions in how to take it apart. Its not that hard at all. I popped the electronic board out and ran the entire plastic plate under the water. Let it dry and assemble it back. No more sticky buttons.
