Default Contemplating New Q7

My Mazda CX-9 comes off lease in about 6 weeks, and the 2011 Q7 is on my short list as a replacement.

Local Audi dealer has a black S-Line Prestige with Cold Weather and Towing Package. Their offer is $3K off MSRP. Good deal?

The only negative is that it has beige interior--I really wish it was black.

I know a dealer who said that he has a Black on Black S-Line Q7 coming in. The dealer is in PA, not sure where you are located. Let me know and I would be glad to refer you to him. He had it at $500 over invoice and will honor the Amex pricing.

I thought US model S-Lines only had black interiors? Are you sure the car in question is an S-line?

Positive. I've test driven it twice. It has Supercharger badges on it. MSRP is about $60.8K.

Perhaps you are thinking of the S-Line interior package, which is a $1500 option?

The Maguello Blue and Dayton Grey will only come with black interiors. IF you choose white ot teak, it does have options on the interior colors for the S-line

The 2011 configuration is strange as the only way to get an S-line is to buy the 3.0T Prestige which includes the S-Line package standard. S-line up to now at least has been a package which includes different interior bits, a body colored aero package and special wheels. I know they had the S-line exterior parts as standard on some '10's(our TDI loaner has this treatment). It does appear if the car you drove has "supercharged" badges it is the S-line, but this is really kind of silly as ALL non TDI cars have a 3.0 S/C motor(in different states of tune).

Has it always been this way?

I am not sure if it has been this way always, but the 2011 Q7 has only black interior for M-blue and Daytona Grey. I just ordered a M-Blue. The S-line package is optional as a interior look and feel. The S-line badge is standard on the exterior for all 2011 s-line Q7
