Re: different sizes of tires, they do make a difference. Q already handled incredibly, went to a 295/45/20 and it handles even better. A wider tire will handle better, hands down. A wider tire will do the opposite in snow/winter etc.
Re: tire brands, there is always going to be a dud in the bunch. Have had plenty of Goodyears, Wrangler RT/S-lasted forever, Wrangler A/T-awesome, olde style Eagle GT II-decent, last set were Intgeritys--absolutely horrendous. I have had bad luck with Kuhmo's & Conti's-so for me, I wont purchase them again. But there are plenty of people that like their higher end tires.
With that said, congratz on new tires and lets some pics. Reviews are pretty decent/usually consisten on Tire Rack if you look at the reviews with lots of mileage. Everyone seems to like their new tires when they have only a few thousand miles on them.
