cracking seat leather

Well, I have been using Lexol's brand of leather cleaner & conditioner regularly and also use Lexol's Vinylex on the non-leather parts. Granted, I may have put some actual leather cleaner/conditioner on the leatherette but it really shouldn't hurt it much.

It isn't garaged most of the time; however, there is a 35% UV tint on all windows except for the windshield and the native weather (Pacific Northwest) doesn't lend too much to the car being an oven.

If your leather is cracking and you're no longer in or the dealer won't cover it under warranty, there's nothing better than Leatherique. See here:

showed the problem to the dealer and they are having the regoinal guy look at it when he comes buy once a quarter. they all agree it shouldn;t be happening to the seats. my local dealer doesn't have the authurization to fix it.

I also had the same issue. ours is a 2007 with panoramic roof. They thought the roof may have caused too much sunlight and "dry rot" of the leather. Both front seats were replaced with 49k on the odometer under warranty. So obviously it can be done, perhaps you want to get with another dealer? I have 4 in my area and I take my Audis to the one that is the farthest away because I get the best service from them.
